The Illinois College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Prairie Star Invitational in Springfield, Illinois, over the weekend. The men's team, known as the Blueboys, secured fourth place among seven competing teams with a total score of 126. Elgin Scherff led the team by finishing 20th overall in the men's 7K race, clocking a time of 24:24.70.

On the women's side, four athletes represented Illinois College in the 5K race. Elizabeth Ruvalcaba was the standout performer for the Lady Blues, finishing with a time of 21:33.90 to secure 14th place.

Both teams are scheduled to compete next at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College on Friday, October 1st at 4:30 PM.
