The Illinois College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. The event took place on Friday, where the men's team finished 23rd out of 24 teams. Meanwhile, three women from the college competed individually.
Elgin Scherff led the men's team with a 124th place finish, clocking a time of 28:05.3. Devin Boggs followed as the second Blueboy to complete the race with a time of 28:50.6, while Will Detmer also managed to finish under 30 minutes with a time of 29:29.7.
For the women's side, Elizabeth Ruvalcaba was at the forefront, finishing in 127th place with a time of 25:34.9. Zoey Lewis completed her run in 29:52.5 and Ashley Drake finished with a time of 31:37.9.
Both teams are scheduled to compete next at the IC Invite on Saturday, October 9th at 11:00 AM.
