The Midwest Conference has announced the results of the 2021 women's cross country preseason poll, as voted on by league head coaches. The Illinois College women's cross country team is predicted to finish in seventh place, tied with Beloit College, both receiving 20 points.
Grinnell College has been selected to lead the standings with a total of 55 points. This follows their first-place finish at the 2019 MWC Championship hosted by Knox College.
Illinois College's team will be led by junior Elizabeth Ruvalcaba as they enter the season with a young group of athletes. The previous season was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
The Lady Blues are scheduled to start their 2021 season at Illinois Wesleyan on September 1st at 5:45 PM. Below are the full preseason poll results:
