Illinois College men's golf finishes third at SLIAC Championship

The Illinois College men's golf team participated in the SLIAC Conference Championship held in Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday and Tuesday. The Blueboys secured third place with a final team score of 939, just one stroke behind Lake Forest, which took second place. Webster University emerged victorious with a total score of 906.

The Illinois College team was recognized with the All-Sportsmanship Team award. Jarrett James led the team by earning First Team All-Conference honors and was named SLIAC Newcomer of the Year. Louis Faivre received an individual All-Sportsmanship Award.

Individually, James finished fourth overall with a score of 227 over three rounds. Tre Wahlig followed him, finishing in 13th place with a score of 235. Completing the top five for Illinois College were Tanner Romine (240), Louis Faivre (244), and Dane Huber (247).

This event concludes the 2021-22 season for the Blueboys golf team.
