Illinois College's Dylan Doss has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Track Performer of the Week, according to an announcement by the league. This marks the second time this year that Doss has received this accolade, though it is his first recognition during the outdoor track season.

Doss, a freshman from Sterling, Illinois, achieved notable success at the Rose-Hulman Twilight event in Terre Haute, Indiana. He secured victories in both the long jump and the 200 meters. His performance in the 200 meters was particularly impressive with a time of 21.51 seconds. This achievement stands as the best time recorded in the Midwest Conference this season and ties for 26th-best nationally. Additionally, it ranks third all-time in Illinois College history.

Looking ahead, Doss and his teammates are set to compete in the 4x100 meter relay at the upcoming Drake Relays on Friday in Des Moines, Iowa.
