Grinnell leads preseason poll; Illinois ties for sixth in MWC swim forecast

The Midwest Conference has released its Preseason Coaches Poll for men's swimming and diving. The Illinois College Blueboys have been predicted to finish tied for sixth place, receiving 24 points in the poll.

Grinnell College is favored to win the league this year, securing 64 points. The Pioneers have a strong track record, having claimed the last six MWC championships since 2016.

Illinois College's team includes many new members aiming to improve on their seventh-place finish from last season. Head Coach Chris Sykes, now in his eleventh year, will guide the team as they start their season at Millikin University on October 22nd.

The full results of the MWC Men's Swimming & Diving Preseason Poll are as follows:

2. Lake Forest College - 48 points

3. St. Norbert College (1) - 46 points

4. Lawrence University - 36 points

5. Ripon College - 31 points

6. Beloit College - 24 points

7. Illinois College - 21 points

8. Monmouth College - 18 points

9. Knox College - 8 points
