The Midwest Conference has released its preseason poll for men's swimming and diving, placing Illinois College in seventh position. The team received 23 points for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Grinnell College emerged as the favorite to win the conference, securing 63 points along with seven first-place votes. Grinnell has dominated the MWC championships for the past seven consecutive years.

Illinois College's team will see six returning student-athletes from last year, supplemented by two first-year students and one transfer. Notably, Nathan Trachta set a record at Illinois College in the 100-butterfly event during last year's MWC Championship with a time of 52.93 seconds. Cooper Meyer also delivered notable performances, achieving fourth place in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 264.50 and seventh place in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:44.74.

The Blueboys are scheduled to begin their season on October 21st at Millikin University, participating in a double dual meet starting at 11:00 AM.
