The Midwest Conference has announced its special award recipients and All-Conference honorees for the 2023 baseball season. Logan Schweigert of Illinois College has been named Second Team All-Conference, recognizing his performance this year.
Schweigert served as the star catcher for the Blueboys throughout the 2023 campaign. He holds a batting average of .341, placing him second on his team and 14th in the conference. Additionally, he leads his team with a .612 slugging percentage, ranking eighth in the conference. His season included 12 doubles and three home runs. Schweigert participated in 34 games and started in 31 out of the Blueboys' total of 40 contests this season.
The Blueboys concluded their 2023 season with an overall record of 15 wins and 25 losses, including an 11-13 record within the Midwest Conference.
