Illinois College hosts clay target day for prospective student-athletes

Illinois College is set to introduce a new intercollegiate sport with an event scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024. Prospective athletes are invited to meet the college's coaches and student-athletes from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The day will begin with check-in at 10:00 a.m. on the Illinois College campus located at 1101 W College Ave. Participants will then proceed to the Sportsman's Club in Jacksonville for trap shooting and sporting clays starting at 1:00 p.m.

The event is free for prospective athletes. The itinerary includes a meeting on campus with admissions and a tour starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by lunch in Cummings Dining Hall at 11:30 a.m. Check-in at the Sportsman's Club is scheduled for 12:45 p.m., where shells and clays will be provided.
