Enrollment Analysis: Black students comprised 1.9% of Logan County’s districts student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 59 Black students enrolled in Logan County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 13.5% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 1.9% of the 3,137 students in the county. They were the least represented ethnicity at the time.

Among the seven districts in Logan County, Lincoln Elementary School District 27 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 39 students.
