Illinois College's football team secured a decisive 56-14 victory over Grinnell in a Midwest Conference game at Rosenbloom Field. The win improved the Blueboys' record to 6-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the Pioneers fell to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in league action.

The Blueboys dominated early, scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter. Tanner Spencer initiated the scoring with a 49-yard run. Kyle Leonard followed with a touchdown reception from quarterback Destin Chance. Chance then connected twice with Collin Brunstein for two more touchdowns, giving IC a commanding 28-0 lead.

Grinnell managed to score at the start of the second quarter, but Chance and Will Campbell responded with a 31-yard touchdown pass, extending IC's lead to 35-7 by halftime.

In the second half, after another Grinnell score, Chance and Brunstein combined again for a touchdown. Lleyton Miller added another score in the fourth quarter before Chance and Brunstein concluded the day's scoring.

Toby McTamney was successful on all eight extra point attempts. Quarterback Destin Chance completed 25 of his 40 passes for six touchdowns and rushed for an additional 97 yards. Spencer and Miller both surpassed 100 rushing yards during the game.

Brunstein led receivers with four touchdowns among his seven catches for 77 yards. Trey Birdsong, Spencer, Campbell, and Leonard also contributed significantly to receiving yardage.

Defensively, Drake Stuart recorded eleven tackles while Derrick Jones had ten. Malik Byndom intercepted two passes.

The Blueboys have won fourteen of their last sixteen regular-season games and are averaging over fifty-eight points per game across their last thirteen contests. Brunstein set school records with over four thousand career receiving yards and sixty-nine touchdown receptions. He is also approaching third place in career receptions at IC. Meanwhile, Chance is nearing the school's all-time record for career touchdown passes.

IC will host Cornell next Saturday at England Stadium as they conclude their regular season with two home games.
