Abby Stevens and Jena Sellers secured second place finishes, marking the highlights of the Illinois College women's swimming team's performance at the Monmouth Invite held on Saturday. The team concluded the competition in third place overall.
Stevens achieved a time of 2:11.69 in the 200-yard freestyle, earning her second place, while Sellers finished as runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.28.
In other notable performances, Abbey Glaser claimed third place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:13.75. Julie Edwards also earned a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, completing it in 1:15.44. Emma Dunsworth secured fifth place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.88.
The Lady Blues are scheduled to host Monmouth on November 9th, with races starting at 11:00 a.m.
