Illinois College Esports secures second place in UCL Rocket League playoffs

The Illinois College Esports team advanced to the finals of the UCL Rocket League Championship after a strong 3-0 victory over Bridgewater College in the lower bracket. Despite their efforts, they were defeated 3-1 in the finals, securing second place for the season.

Illinois College finished the UCL Rocket League season with a record of 6-4 and plans to build on this success as the fall seasons conclude.

In their match against Bridgewater College, Illinois College won all three games. Glenn Conway led with five goals and five saves. Dwight Duijneveld contributed three goals and three assists, while Kieran Powers added two assists and a crucial save.

During the finals against MSMU, Illinois College managed to hold their opponents to six goals overall. Dwight Duijneveld was notable for his two goals and six saves. Both Glenn Conway and Kieran Powers also made significant contributions with five saves each.

This runner-up finish marks a positive foundation for Illinois College as they prepare for future competitions. Their next match is scheduled against Wartburg College on November 12th at 7:00 pm.
