The Illinois College football team has seen 13 of its players honored in the annual Midwest Conference post-season awards, as announced by the league. The Blueboys had six players named to the first-team all-conference and seven to the second team.
On offense, senior wide receiver Collin Brunstein, quarterback Destin Chance, and offensive lineman Collier McPherson were recognized with first-team accolades. This marks the second consecutive season these three seniors have been selected for this honor.
Defensively, senior Garrett Bearden was acknowledged alongside juniors Malik Byndom and Cam Dailey for their performances. All three were included in the first-team selections.
The second-team offense featured contributions from senior offensive linemen Jake Benninger and Evan Henley, along with juniors Tanner Spencer at running back and Trey Birdsong at wide receiver.
On defense, seniors Derrick Jones and Tommy Kaesberg were joined by junior linebacker Drake Stuart on the second team.
The Blueboys concluded their 2024 season with an overall record of 8-2 and a conference record of 7-2.
