Illinois College's wide receiver, Collin Brunstein, has been recognized as a second-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). The announcement was made today.
Brunstein, who hails from Jacksonville, Illinois, earned this honor after an impressive season where he caught 73 passes for 1,540 yards and scored 27 touchdowns. His performance led the nation in both yardage and touchdowns, contributing to his total of 168 points scored during the 2024 campaign.
Throughout his college career, Brunstein set significant records. He holds the NCAA career record for all levels with 77 touchdown receptions. At Illinois College (IC), he graduates as the school's all-time leader in receiving yards with 5,047 and maintains his record for touchdown receptions at 77. Additionally, he ranks second in receptions with a total of 220. Notably, Brunstein is the only player in Blueboy history to exceed both 75 touchdown passes and over 5,000 receiving yards.
The AFCA has been selecting All-America teams since its inception in 1945 and currently selects teams across five divisions.
