CES Playground

The project is complete and a punch list has been sent to the contractor. Two safety concerns were identified by playground staff and are being addressed.

GHS Track Replacement

The track has been striped and has been released to the district for daily use. A site visit was attended by athletics, facilities and Graham and Hyde Architects on Friday November 8, 2024. Some high and low spots were pointed out in lane one along with some inconsistent spray patterns by athletics along with the footprints and tire tracks that were previously identified. The punch list was sent to Byrne and Jones.

CES Roof Replacement

The project is substantially complete. Some asphalt damage occurred when materials were being hoisted onto the roof. A portion of the damage has been repaired but not to the districts satisfaction. The asphalt repair has been added to the punch list and retainage will not be released until the issue is resolved.

CES HVAC Upgrade

The project was awarded to R.D. Lawrence. There was discussion of installing the gymnasium duck work over winter break. The contractor believes that it is possible but finale confirmation has not be received. The exterior work is tentatively scheduled to begin in the February-March time frame so once school is out in May they can transition right into the interior portion of the project. The project will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 will be putting in the GeoThermal well field west of the building and a building addition to house the new GeoThermal Equipment. Phase two will include installing the classroom heating/cooling cassettes along with new LED lighting and ceilings.

GHS Auditorium Sound Upgrade

The project was awarded to Pearl Technologies out of Peoria Heights, Illinois. Both parties are in possession of the signed contract. A pre-construction meeting is scheduled for December 11, 2024 with an anticipated Mid-May start date. Substantial completion is anticipated the first week in August 2025.
