Illinois College football players Collin Brunstein and Destin Chance have been recognized with All-Region 5 honors by d3football.com. The announcement was made today in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Collin Brunstein, a senior wide receiver from Jacksonville, Illinois, was named to the first team. During the 2024 season, he caught 73 passes for 1,540 yards and scored 27 touchdowns. His performance led the nation in yardage and touchdowns as well as total points scored with 168. Brunstein's career concluded with an NCAA record of 77 touchdown receptions across all levels.

Destin Chance, a senior quarterback from Auburn, Illinois, was selected for the second team. In 2024, Chance completed 234 of 381 passes (61.4%) for a total of 3,593 yards and threw 50 touchdowns. He also rushed for 586 yards on 89 carries (averaging 6.6 yards per attempt) and scored eight times on the ground. He led the nation in several categories including total yards per game, total touchdowns, passing yards per game, and touchdown passes.
