Illinois College's Offensive Coordinator, Drew Chance, has been recognized as a finalist for the 2024 NCAA Division III Offensive Coordinator of the Year by FootballScoop. The announcement was made today in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The Blueboys' team has excelled this season, leading the nation in total offense with an average of 589.4 yards per game and scoring at 55.4 points per game. They rank second in passing with 376.4 yards per game and hold the 16th position in rushing at 213 yards per game.
FootballScoop's Coach of the Year Program is unique as it allows winners to be selected by their peers. Coaches are required to be nominated by a fellow coach to qualify for consideration, and winners in each category are chosen by previous awardees of that category.
This program recognizes excellence not only on the field but also highlights key off-the-field roles across various divisions including FBS, FCS, Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels. The announcement of winners will occur over the coming days and weeks with an honoring ceremony set for next month at the AFCA Convention in Charlotte.
