The Lady Blues faced Westminster College in a non-conference volleyball match on Tuesday in Fulton, Missouri. Coming off a strong start with a 2-0 record at the IC Invitational, the team experienced their first loss of the season, falling to Westminster in four sets.

Ligaya Garibay led IC with 16 kills, while Laura Kiser contributed eight. Kahli O'Neal and Summer Brandis collectively provided 39 assists for the team. Riley Drake topped the defensive efforts with 18 digs.

The match began with a closely contested set that ended 25-22 in favor of Westminster. The Lady Blues bounced back to win the second set decisively at 25-15. However, they could not maintain this momentum and lost the subsequent two sets 25-21.

A significant factor in Westminster's victory was their performance in serving, as they recorded seven aces compared to just two by IC. Despite leading in kills, IC struggled with serving errors, tallying twelve throughout the match.

Looking ahead, the Lady Blues will compete in the Transylvania University Invitational this weekend in Lexington, Kentucky, where they are scheduled to play three matches.
