The Illinois College women's volleyball team secured a 3-0 victory against Ripon College in a conference match held on Saturday in Ripon, Wisconsin. This win brings the Lady Blues to a 2-0 record in conference play and an overall season record of 10-10. Meanwhile, Ripon's loss leaves them at 7-11 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
The match concluded with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-16 in favor of Illinois College. Ligaya Garibay led the team with 13 kills. Laura Kaiser, following her previous performance of setting a record with 16 kills on 19 attempts, contributed nine kills on fifteen attempts this time. Riley Drake also made an impact by adding eight kills.
Summer Brandis was instrumental in assists for the Lady Blues, providing eighteen during the match. Kahli O'Neal supported with thirteen assists as well. Defensively, Alex Johnson recorded sixteen digs while Laura Kaiser added two solo blocks and four block assists.
Illinois College limited Ripon to a .068 hitting percentage while achieving a .243 hitting percentage themselves.
