The Illinois College Invitational women's volleyball All-Tournament Team was announced in Jacksonville, Illinois. The team selection was made by the seven head coaches from each participating program.
In the setters category, Jackie Oetterer from UWL had a strong performance with 84 assists over three matches. She notably contributed 41 of the 46 total assists for UWL in their match against Carroll. Summer Brandis from Illinois College (IC) also excelled, helping her team to a 2-0 start to the season with 43 assists.
For opposites, Abby Buchanan-Kenzinger from IC scored 22.5 points, including six serving aces, aiding her team's varied scoring strategies over the weekend. Grace White from Webster ended with 23 points, contributing to Webster's early season record of 2-1.
Among the middles, Kylie Wittnebel from Carroll played a crucial role in her team's success with 27 kills and 11.5 blocks as Carroll finished the weekend at 3-1. Eva Tarlos from Webster added strength to her team’s start with a total of 17 aces and six serving aces.
In the defensive specialist position, Maggie McGough from Carroll managed to accumulate 41 digs despite playing only three out of four matches. Mya Minjares from Adrian led her team with 53 digs as they began their season at 2-1 after a close five-set loss to Illinois College.
The outside hitters included Ligaya Garibay from IC who recorded both 24 kills and digs across two matches, showing strong form for her team’s season opener. Amber Morris from Adrian was instrumental in their victory over Carroll, achieving a total of 36 kills over three matches.
