State Representative Wayne Rosenthal (IL) | Representative Wayne A Rosenthal (R) 108th District
Today, State Representative Wayne Rosenthal (R-Morrisonville) was officially sworn into the 104th General Assembly in Springfield, Illinois. Rosenthal expressed his honor in serving the 108th House District and is eager to continue supporting his constituents. The district encompasses Menard County and parts of Christian, Macoupin, Montgomery, and Sangamon Counties.
“I am grateful to represent the families, businesses and communities of the 108th District,” stated Rosenthal. “Working for my constituents is my main responsibility and I remain committed to advocating for them through their issues and trying to bring better policies that will help enhance their livelihood. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the 104th General Assembly to craft solutions that address the needs of our communities.”
Rosenthal was first elected in 2010 but resigned in 2015 to serve as Director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources until 2019. He returned to the Illinois House of Representatives for the 108th District in 2022 and continues his service into 2025. His focus includes small business growth, protecting family farms, property tax reform, transportation safety, and providing veterans with necessary services.
Before entering public service, Rosenthal served for three decades in the Illinois Air National Guard and United States Air Force. Now a retired Brigadier General, he remains active on his family farm. He lives in Morrisonville with his wife Marcia; they have three sons and seven grandchildren.
