Jayln Patterson led the Illinois College Lady Blues to a decisive 72-47 victory over Beloit College on Saturday at Sherman Gymnasium. Patterson scored 22 points, contributing significantly to the team's performance.

With this win, Illinois College improves its record to 7-11 overall and 4-5 in conference play, while Beloit's record falls to 2-17.

Patterson's early performance set the pace for the game, scoring 15 points in the first quarter and helping establish a 12-point lead. The Lady Blues maintained their advantage throughout, shooting nearly 43% from the field and 37% from three-point range.

The team showed a balanced offensive strategy with contributions from twelve players. McKenna Christiansen added ten points, making two of her four attempts from beyond the arc. Defensively, Illinois College forced Beloit into committing 21 turnovers and recorded fifteen steals.

Raegen Stringer contributed five assists, four rebounds, and two steals for Illinois College. Anna McKee also made an impact by scoring eight points with two successful three-point shots.

The Lady Blues will next travel to Mount Vernon, Iowa, to face Cornell College on Tuesday, January 28th at 5:30 p.m.
