District 186 recently shared updates and congratulations on social media regarding local school achievements and upcoming events. On January 26, 2025, District 186 celebrated the success of Lanphier High School's boys' sports team. The team emerged victorious in the Bank of Springfield Boys City Tournament. On the same day, another update was posted by District 186 regarding a tie in the Bank of Springfield Girls City Tournament. The tweet acknowledged Springfield High School, Southeast High School, and Sacred Heart-Griffin (SHG) for each securing a city trophy in the event.
