Illinois College's Jayln Patterson has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Performer of the Week. This is Patterson's first time receiving this honor and the first for the Lady Blues since Ashlyn Wightman was acknowledged last year.
Patterson averaged 22.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game during a successful week for the Lady Blues, who achieved victories against Monmouth and Lawrence. Against Monmouth, Patterson scored a career-high 32 points, hitting 10-of-18 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free-throw line, along with four rebounds. In their game against Lawrence, she contributed 13 points and secured nine rebounds.
The Lady Blues are scheduled to face Grinnell College on Tuesday, February 11, at Sherman Gymnasium.
