Nikki Budzinski, currently serving as a U.S. Congress representative for Illinois' 13th district, has expressed her views on several issues affecting her constituents through social media posts. Born in Peoria, Illinois in 1977 and residing in Springfield, Budzinski graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a BA in 1999. She succeeded Rodney Davis in Congress in 2023.

According to her tweet, such actions could hinder farmers and ranchers from obtaining loans and implementing conservation practices. Additionally, it may compromise poultry and livestock protection against bird flu and potentially increase grocery prices for staples like eggs.

She shared her commitment to supporting union jobs during a meeting with the Springfield & Central Illinois Trades & Labor Council.
