The Lady Blues concluded their 2024-25 basketball season with a 70-52 loss to Knox College on Wednesday night at Sherman Gymnasium, Jacksonville, Illinois. This game marked the end of the season for Illinois College (IC), which finished with a record of 10-15 overall and 7-9 in conference play. Knox College improved to a 15-9 overall record and stands at 10-5 in conference play, with one more game remaining.

In the matchup, IC initially held a slight edge after Kaity Robinson's last-second score in the first quarter. However, Knox responded strongly with a decisive 17-2 run early in the second quarter and maintained control throughout, extending their lead to as much as 26 points by the fourth quarter.

For IC, Ella Ausmus collected 10 rebounds and added seven points. Jayln Patterson was the team's top scorer with 10 points while also securing eight rebounds. Raegen Stringer contributed significantly with four steals and three assists, earning her place in IC's record book for single-season assists.

Reflecting on career milestones for departing players: Ashlyn Wightman finished her tenure at IC with impressive stats—1,057 points, ranking her 13th all-time; she is also first in blocks (216) and fifth in rebounds (727) within program history. Anna McKee ended her college career amassing 630 points, along with notable contributions of 231 rebounds and 106 steals.

Freshman Raegen Stringer made an impactful start to her college basketball journey by recording 98 assists this season, placing her ninth all-time for most assists in a single season at IC.
