Representative Nikki Budzinski, serving Illinois' 13th district in the U.S. Congress, took to social media to voice her positions on issues related to Medicaid and veterans affairs. She replaced former U.S. Congress member Rodney Davis in 2023 and, since then, has been active in addressing these significant matters.

On March 27, 2025, Rep. Budzinski expressed strong support for Medicaid, emphasizing its vital role for care workers like Juandalynn and the well-being of their patients. She stated, "As a care worker, Juandalynn knows just how important Medicaid is to keep her patients at home, enjoying their lives with their families. We can’t let this lifeline be cut."

Later that day, Rep. Budzinski highlighted her efforts to support veterans who have experienced military sexual trauma. She tweeted about a bipartisan bill she introduced in collaboration with Representatives Young Kim, Chrissy Houlahan, and Don Bacon. She remarked, "Veterans who experienced military sexual trauma should never have to face more pain when they file a claim with the VA. I introduced a bipartisan bill with @RepYoungKim, @RepHoulahan, and @RepDonBacon to cut red tape and ensure the claims process is not retraumatizing."

Continuing her advocacy on March 28, 2025, Rep. Budzinski discussed potential cuts to Medicaid being considered by President Trump and Republican members of Congress. She warned of the detrimental impacts these cuts could have on Americans with disabilities, working families, and healthcare providers. She stated, "President Trump and Republicans in Congress are eyeing billions of dollars of cuts to Medicaid - this would be devastating for Americans with disabilities, working families, and hardworking health care providers. This week, I met with @SEIU care workers to talk about how we’re."
