Budzinski condemns funding cuts affecting Illinois' public health in recent statements

Rep. Nikki Budzinski, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 13th district, has been vocal on various issues through her social media posts. Budzinski, who replaced former representative Rodney Davis in 2023, often addresses public health matters, social causes, and agricultural policies pertinent to her constituents.

On April 1, 2025, Budzinski addressed funding cuts made by the Trump Administration. "The Trump Administration has slashed billions of dollars from programs to prevent infectious disease and address the substance use crisis - including in Illinois. I sent a letter to @SecKennedy calling on him to reverse these cuts that threaten the health and safety of our".

Celebrating World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2025, Budzinski encouraged more inclusivity. She stated, "Today, we celebrate World Autism Awareness Day! Let’s keep speaking up for acceptance, celebrating our differences, and building a more inclusive world."

A different focus was visible in another post on the same day, revealing her commitment to agricultural issues. She announced, "This month, I’m going to be taking you through all things Farm Bill, from the field to your fork. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover, so stay tuned!"
