Illinois College women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by Webster University on Wednesday night at the World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri. The match marked the final non-conference game of the season for Illinois College.
The first half saw both teams with similar opportunities, as Webster registered six shots and Illinois College had five. Both defenses managed to keep the score even until halftime.
Webster broke the deadlock at 64:29 in the second half and quickly added two more goals at 68:12 and 70:02, securing their victory.
Illinois College finished with nine shots in total. Katy Adler led her team with four shots, while Abbi Renwick contributed two. Goalkeeper Jesse Trost played the entire match for Illinois College and made seven saves.
Following this result, Illinois College holds a record of 4-5-1 for the season, while Webster improved to 6-2-0.
