State Representative Jeff Keicher, who has represented Illinois' 70th House District since 2018, and Cortland Mayor Mark Pietrowski will host an event focused on preventing online scams and identity theft. The presentation is scheduled for Monday, September 29 at noon at the Hinckley Cortland Lions Club in Cortland, Illinois.

Experts from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office are set to lead the session. They will provide information on how to identify common online scams, recognize cybersecurity and privacy risks, protect personal information online, safeguard banking and financial data, and report scams or seek help if needed.

"To assist constituents in protecting themselves against the threat of scams and the theft of sensitive personal information posed by our modern world, State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-70th District) and Cortland Mayor Mark Pietrowski are hosting an Online Scams and Identity Theft prevention presentation on Monday, September 29. The event will start at noon at the Cortland Lions Club."

Keicher was elected as a Republican to the Illinois State House in 2018 after replacing Robert W. Pritchard as representative for the district.
