Illinois College Lady Blues tennis honors seniors in shutout win over Concordia Chicago

The Illinois College women's tennis team recognized its senior players during a match against Concordia Chicago at the Bellatti Tennis Center in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Lady Blues secured a 7-0 victory, improving their season record to 8-5, while Concordia Chicago remains winless at 0-7.

Before the match, seniors Lily Ingram and Sabrina Ingram were honored for their contributions to the program. Both players played key roles in the team's success on Saturday. The Ingram sisters teamed up at No. 2 doubles for a 6-0 win. They also excelled in singles play: Lily won her match at No. 3 with a score of 6-0, 6-0, and Sabrina won at No. 5 with a score of 6-0, 6-1.

Other doubles victories included Alyssa Wise and Clara Bach winning at No. 1 (6-1), and Sophi Barrow and Morgan Keefe winning at No. 3 (6-0). In singles matches, Wise came from behind to win at No. 1 (5-7, 6-3, 10-3), Bach won at No. 2 (6-2, 6-1), Keefe was victorious at No. 4 (6-3, 6-0), and Barrow earned a shutout win at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0).

The Lady Blues will play again tomorrow when they travel to LaSalle, Illinois to face Illinois Valley Community College with the first serve scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
