The Illinois College Lady Blues volleyball team began their East Coast trip with a 3–1 win over William Paterson University on Friday night at the Sports and Recreation Center in Wayne, New Jersey. The set scores were 25–23, 26–24, 17–25, and 25–21. With this victory, the Lady Blues improved their season record to 6–12.

Illinois College showed a balanced offensive effort, finishing with a .279 hitting percentage and totaling 53 kills as a team. Delani Klaas and Riley Drake each recorded 11 kills. Haylie Orton contributed eight kills on .571 hitting along with four blocks at the net.

Alyssa Burglund added eight kills and four blocks, while Laura Kaiser had six kills and two blocks. Setters Summer Brandis and Kahli O'Neal combined for 40 assists during the match.

Defensively, Mady Salisbury led with 17 digs and two service aces. Reagan Oster provided ten digs and three kills. The Lady Blues outblocked William Paterson by a margin of nine to five and limited their opponent to a .200 hitting percentage.

The team will continue its East Coast trip with matches against Misericordia University at 9:00am CT and Kean University at 11:00am CT on Saturday.
