Monmouth College maintained its unbeaten record in the Midwest Conference with a 48-15 win over Illinois College on Saturday at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.

Illinois College now holds a 3-2 overall record and is 2-2 in conference play. Monmouth improved to 4-1 overall and remains undefeated in the league at 4-0.

The Blueboys started strong, taking an early lead after Toby McTamney kicked a 38-yard field goal. McTamney added two more field goals—one from 24 yards and another from 23 yards—to account for Illinois College's next two scores, with the third coming at the start of the third quarter.

Illinois College scored its only touchdown when Tyson Elliott connected with Cole Stuart on a five-yard pass, narrowing Monmouth’s lead to 20-15. However, Monmouth responded by scoring 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Quarterback Tyson Elliott completed 18 of his 33 passes for 191 yards and one touchdown. Kyle Leonard led receivers with seven catches for 111 yards, while Cole Stuart had four receptions for 37 yards. On the ground, Tanner Spencer rushed for 43 yards on seven carries, and Lleyton Miller contributed nine carries for 35 yards.

Defensively, Jaylen Johnson, Drake Stuart, and Josh Hodge each recorded seven tackles during the game.

Illinois College will return home next week to face Knox in another Midwest Conference matchup at England Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
