The Illinois College esports team was defeated by North Dakota State University in an Overwatch match held on Monday evening. The series ended with a 0–3 loss for Illinois College.
North Dakota State University led throughout the match, winning the first map, Control – Ilios, by a score of 2–1. The following maps, King's Row (Hybrid) and Rialto (Escort), were both narrowly won by NDSU with scores of 1–0. Illinois College was unable to maintain the consistency that had contributed to its previous successes.
The Illinois College Overwatch team will return to competition on Friday, October 17, for a NECC match against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
