Lucas Sullens, Swimmer | Illinois College Blue Boys Swimming
Illinois College swimmer Lucas Sullens has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Men's Swimming Performer of the Week, according to an announcement by the league.
Sullens, a freshman from Chatham, Illinois, made his collegiate debut by contributing to three victories during Illinois College's 114-88 win at Coe College on Saturday. He won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.30 and the 100-yard backstroke in 57.38 seconds. Sullens also swam as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, which finished first with a time of 1:30.94.
Illinois College will compete again on Saturday at the Millikin Tri-Meet in Decatur, Illinois, with events scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
