Leslie Messina appointed head coach for Illinois College's Lady Blues softball

The Illinois College athletic department has announced Leslie Messina as the new head coach for the Lady Blues softball team. Messina transitions to this role from Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois, where she served as the head coach of the Beavers since 2021 and held the position of Senior Woman Administrator since 2022. During her tenure at Blackburn College, she achieved a personal milestone of 400 career wins and led ten student-athletes to receive National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
