The Illinois College athletic department has announced the appointment of McKenzie Moore as the new head cheer coach. Moore joins the college from her previous role as a cheerleader instructor at Universal Cheerleaders Association in Bloomington, Illinois, where she has been since 2022.
During her tenure at UCA, Moore developed strategic personal training programs tailored to each athlete's needs to monitor their performance and set benchmark goals. She also provided education on proper exercise techniques aimed at preventing sports injuries.
" I am so excited to have McKenzie as the Head Cheer Coach. McKenzie has tons of experience with cheer and I can't wait to see what she builds with this team," said Samantha Laster, Head Dance Team Coach and Director of Spirit Teams.
