Illinois's Prairie Skies Public Library District’s recent meeting focused on the director’s report from Kathleen Roegge.
During the meeting, Roegge noted that the Sutton repair projects on the roof and soffet at the Pleasant Plains location would need a follow-up to be completed in line with the bid document. This prompted a discussion about the possibility of a building consultation to foster additional maintenance ideas and to discuss needs of the facility.
She also stated that she has spent some time getting acquainted with the library staff and familiarizing herself with the operations and schedule of the facility. During the director’s report, Roegge also presented ideas to improve programing and collection activity with local residents. During this time she also updated board members of current programming.
Statistics for the month of December 2015 were also presented and discussed. The board also voted to approve a set of bills to be paid totaling $15,652 with all members that were present in favor.
The meeting minutes from the board’s previous meeting that took place on Dec. 8, 2015 were reviewed by the board and were approved unanimously.
