The Committee of the Whole of the Springfield, Illinois City Council discussed annexation agreements and other items during a recent meeting.
During this session, two annexation agreements were taken into consideration. The first involved Gary Walker LLC for property that is located at 1415 Culver Ave. This item was voted to be placed onto the debate agenda for further deliberation and a final vote of approval. According to the city clerk’s website this was approved in a unanimous fashion during the city council meeting that took place on March 1.
The second agreement that was discussed is between the city and Bob and Pamela McConnell and it involves property that is located at 1330 Woodside Rd. This item was also placed onto the debate agenda. This agreement was also approved by the council in a unanimous fashion.
The meeting also considered the recommendation of three appointments to positions within the city government. This consisted of the appointments of Maria Oldani as a member of the Historic Sites Commission, Heather Proctor to serve on the Community Relations Commission and Tammie McCaughey as the city’s deputy treasurer. All three appointments were approved during the March 1 meeting of the city council.
