The Board of Trustees for the Springfield, Illinois Mass Transit District (SMTD) will be meeting today at 4:30 p.m. to discuss contract and project approvals among other items.
The meeting will facilitate the discussion of the SPARC Service Contract approval and the authorization of transportation improvement program projects for 2017 through 2020. The board will also consider the awarding of the organization’s health insurance agreement.
Within the reports section of the meeting, there will be reviews of operations, administration and financial and investment matters.
This meeting will also consist of discussions and votes to approve resolutions for grant funding funding for the 2016 fiscal year, and demolition of property
There may also be discussions associating with litigation, personnel or land acquisition during a closed session.
The board is also scheduled to consider approving Curb Your Car Free Ride Day during this meeting. Full meeting minutes from Feb. 22 will also be considered for approval.
