At a recent meeting, the Chatham Fire Protection District Foreign Fire Insurance Board considered several equipment purchases.
The board imposes a fee on foreign fire insurance companies collecting premiums on the sale of fire insurance on properties in the Chatham Fire Protection District. The board includes seven members, consisting of the fire chief and either full-time, part-time or volunteer firefighters, who determine how the fees are used within the department.

? Treasurer Bose stated as of February 29, 2016 there is $59,136.52 in account.

? Romadka presented flooring option of matting for new weight room. Estimating around $800.00-900.00. He is asking for a motion not to exceed $1000.00 to purchase flooring. Durability is great. Wants red/blue interlocking pieces and not the black rubberized matting. FFIB members wanted to place matting purchase on next agenda.

? Sensit Gold Combustible Gas Monitor, single gas meter Cost $868.00 plus $223.00 for recalibration and comes with case.
A 2 gas meter is an add’l $314.00 in cost. Bose made motion for a single gas meter w/ calibration kit, Bolletta seconded, purchase 2 units. All approved.
