Sangamon Jail Committee to consider new correctional officer hire

The Sangamon County Jail Committee will consider a plan to hire a new correctional officer to fill an opening, at its next meeting Tuesday at noon.

The Sangamon County Jail Committee purchases all equipment and supplies for the county jail, makes needed repairs to the jail, and inspects the jail regularly to ensure sanitary conditions and other stated standards and guidelines are followed.

· Travel approval for Emily McKenzie to attend training for ABMDI certification.

· Memorandum of Understanding between Sangamon County and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Tim Eggleston – Sheriff’s Office

· MJ Kellner Approval.

· Approval to hire a replacement Correctional Officer at an annual salary of $33,875 effective 8/15/16.
