Chatham Board of Fire Commissioners met June 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commissioners:

· Call to Order

v Meeting started at 1708 hours

· Roll Call

v Present were: Commissioner Hill, Sullivan and Chief Schumer

v Absent were: Commissioner Staab Polk

· Approval of Previous Minutes

v Open and closed session minutes of April 17, 2017 were presented for approval. Motion to approve by Commissioner Hill and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan; motion passed.

· New Business:

v Application review, acceptance or rejection notification letters to all applicants were discussed and reviewed during closed session.

v Firefighter Test Material Terms & Conditions of Lease for Written Examination

· Closed Session:

v Motion to go into Closed Session at 1711 hours to discuss Employment/Appointment matters in accordance with (5ILCS 120/2(C)(1) was made by Commissioner Sullivan was seconded by Commissioner Staab Polk; motion passed.

v Closed session started at 1711 hours

v Closed session ended at 1747 hours

v Returned to open session 1807 hours

v Commissioner Hill would like the Chief to send out two rejection letter for two candidates not meeting the standards and to get information regarding one of the candidates from the attorney, will follow up with the Chief
