Village of Dawson Board of Trustees met July 5.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Dawson Village Board was called to order by Mayor Dee Smith at 7p.m. and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Trustees present were Jake Byerline, Robin Ashton-Hale, Theresa J. Davis-Anderson, Nancy Prytherch. Also present were Mayor Dee Smith, Clerk Jo D. Prytherch, and Public Works Supervisor Jack Prytherch.
Minutes: Jake Byerline made a motion to approve the minutes, with a second by Robin Ashton-Hale MC.
Bills: Jake Byerline made a motion to approve the monthly bills, with a second by Nancy Prytherch MC.
Treasurer’s report: Trustee’s reviewed the balance sheet and bank balances, profit and los , general fund and water for the monthly reports that was provided by Shelly Farley.
Public Forum: Robin Ashton-Hale Congratulated Public Works Supervisor Jack Prytherch for passing his test and receiving his class d license for water works
New Business:
1. Water Salesman Coin Box was approved for an upgrade to purchase a new one which will include the receiving of dollar bills along with quarters for the purchase of bulk water, estimated cost is $4,125.00. Bulk water rate was motioned to be raised and was approved for $5.50 per 1,000 gallons by Jake Byerline and second by Nancy Prytherch MC.
Engineers Report: Nothing to report.
Old Business:
1. Animal Control Contract was approved for $498.68 motion was made by Jake Byerline second by Nancy Prytherch MC.
2. Employee’ s Salaries: was moved to closed executive meeting.
3. Department Officers were announced: Drainage Jeremy Bounds, Financial Shelly Farley, ESDA Nancy Prytherch, ESDA Coordinator Jeremy Prytherch, Health & Safety Robin Ashton-Hale, Parks Josh Nibbe, Streets & Alleys Jake Byerline Water Theresa J. Davis-Anderson.
4. Building Permit for Keith Shaffer was approved to have Mayor Dee Smith review the plans for the addition of a sun room, Robin Ashton-Hale made the motion to approve with a second by Jeremy Bounds MC
Trustee’s Report: Discussion on purchasing 1 or 2 camera’s for the playground equipment since slide was broken, checking with George Alarm for a quote.
Attorney’s Report:
1. Annual Budget for 2018 and Appropriation Ordinance was passed by Nancy Prytherch and second by Jake Byerline MC.
Mayor’s Report: Mayor Dee Smith expressed his appreciation for everyone’s involvement with the July 3rd Fireworks display being a success, also announced the new truck should be here in August.
