Village of Dawson Board of Trustees met May 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to order and Pledge of Allegiance was conducted by Jeremy Nunes.

Roll call: Trustees present were Joan Davis, Jake Byerline, Josh Blakeman, Nancy Prytherch , John Reilly, Robin Ashton-Hale was all present. Also present were Mayor Jeremy Nunes, Clerk Pat Curry and Treasure Shelly Farley, Attorney Steve Scott, Engineer Kevin Kuhn and Water Plant Superintendant Jordan Lyons, and Public Works Maintenance Supervisor John (Jack) Prytherch III.

Minutes: Josh Blakeman made a motion to approve the minutes, with a second by Jake Byerline MC

Bills: Nancy Prytherch made a motion to approve the monthly bills, with a second by Joan Davis MC

Out going clerk Pat Curry swore in the new clerk Jo D. Prytherch. Jo D. Prytherch then swore in the newly elected Mayor Paul “Dee “ Smith and the newly elected trustees Jake Byerline, Jeremy Bounds, Josh Nibbe and Theresa Davis-Anderson.

Treasurer’s report: Shelly read the balance sheet and bank balances for the monthly reports.

Public Forum: Suggestion to appoint officers of different departments at meeting in June.

New Business

1. Leak Adjustment: for Pat Petitt and Phyllis Hill was approved for water credit.

2. Water Truck Purchase: was approved for $40,583: $25,000 Financed, $5,000 from General Fund, $10,583 from Water Funds.

Robin Ashton-Hale made a motion to purchase the new truck with a second by Nancy Prytherch MC

Engineers had nothing to report at this time.

Old Business : Neighborhood Watch needs to be updated with names of street captains in future meeting.

Trustee’s report: Robin made a suggestion to supervise the park a little more with having concerns of bullying and misconduct at the park, Mayor Dee Smith made the suggestion of reviewing the camera’s more often to see if there is need to pursue it further with more camera’s.

Attorney’s Report: Reviewed Levi Ordinance and Tax assessments and discussed Tentative Budget for the projection of 2018 budget, with a few appropriation adjustments in general fund, H2o fund.

Mayor’s Report:

Discussion on Railroad tracks being repaired at the entrances of Dawson. We also discussed replacement of Sidewalk on 100 Block of Walnut.

Meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
