Williams Township Board of Trustees met September 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The regular meeting of Williams Township Board of Trustees was called to order by Supervisor Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12th, 2017. The meeting was held at the Township office.

Those present were: Supervisor Lee Miller, Road Commissioner Rich Bond, and Clerk Marla Smith. Trustees: David May, Jan Halford, and John Sweeney, Assistant Assessor Jason LeMar & Office Manager Debra Booker.

Guest present – KJ Loyd

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee John Sweeney.

Trustee May moved to approve the minutes of the August 8th, 2017, board meeting. Second by Trustee Halford. Motion carried.

Trustee Sweeney moved to approve the monthly bills. Second by Trustee May. Motion carried.

Trustee Halford moved to approve payroll for the month of August. Second by Trustee Halford. Motion carried.

Supervisor Miller asked for a report from Assistant Assessor Jason LeMar. Mr. LeMar thanked the board & stated that he has been working on data studies. He passed out a report showing historical data for the Township. His findings show a need for re-assessment in the area.

Road Commissioner Bond reported that a reimbursement check was received for the damages incurred during the crossing closure last year. All concrete has been poured & sealed in Knollwood. Backfilling and seeding still needs to be completed. Two full-time positions have been filled. He is looking into if Pine St. going South of Woodsmill is the Township responsibility. They have been busy patching roads, trimming trees, replacing culverts, cleaning ditches and sidewalk repairs.

The meeting was adjourned following a motion by Trustee May and a second by Trustee Halford.
