Williams Township Cemetery Board met Feb. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Williams Township Cemetery Board was called to order at 6:27 PM by President Nadine Hayward. In attendance were Trustees Mark Phillips and Duane Weiss. No guests were present.

The January 8, 2018 minutes were reviewed. Mark Phillips made the motion to approve the minutes as written and Duane Weiss provided the second.

The monthly finances and payment of bills were reviewed. Mark Phillips made the motion to accept the finances and bills as presented. Duane Weiss seconded the motion.

The apple tree at Walnut Hill Cemetery has been partially removed due to Greg Chastain’s funeral. The remainder needs to be removed and the stump chipped early this spring.

Also, Nadine Hayward states that she will call Harold Carter regarding planting trees in Section 5 at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

On February 9th, Mark Phillips and Nadine Hayward took pictures of our current dirt truck and submitted our order to Todd Crews at Bob Ridings. Nadine Hayward received a bid from Todd Crews and presented it to the board for approval. After discussion, Duane Weiss made a motion to accept the proposed bid for $32,964.00 with a trade in for $2800.00 f0r our current truck. Nadine Hayward will call Todd Crews tomorrow and submit the required paperwork.

All of the sexual harassment forms have been passed out to all of the cemetery personnel and all but 2 have been returned.

Nadine Hayward has located OSHA guidelines for cemeteries. Copies have been given to all trustees and one will be on file in the office.

Duane Weiss made a motion to adjourn and Mark Phillips gave a hearty second!

Meeting adjourned at 7:15 PM.
