Chatham Fire Protection District Insurance Board met Jan. 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

· Call To Order

v Meeting started at 1548 hours

· Roll Call

v Present were: Commissioner Staab Polk, Hill, Sullivan, Chief Schumer and Administrative Assistant Kashima Stotts

v Absent were: None

· Approval Of Previous Minutes

v Open session minutes of December 18, 2017 were presented for approval. Motion to approve by Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hill; motion passed.

· Public Comments And Concerns:

v No public comment

· Old Business:

v No old business

· New Business:

v Evaluate/Approve/Rejection of applicants to move forward to mandatory orientation and letters to candidates was discussed during closed session.

v Mandatory orientation topics was discussed and will be held January 27, 2018 at 0800 hours.

· Closed Session:

v Motion to go into Closed Session at 1550 hours to discuss Employment/Appointment matters in accordance with (5ILCS 120/2(C)(1) was made by Commissioner Sullivan was seconded by Commissioner Hill; motion passed.

· Closed Session Ended at 1715

· Opens session resumed at 1716

v Commissioners instruct Chief Schumer to send letters of invitation to the following candidates, Benjiman Stalets, Deavon Todd, Todd Suhling and Matthew Price.

v Commissioners instructed Chief Schumer to send letters of rejection to the following candidates, Jarrod Krall and Robert Ballinger.

· Adjournment

v Motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to adjourn the meeting at 1726 hours and was seconded by Commissioner Hill; motion passed.
