Report: Williamsville spent $9,162 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Williamsville Community Unit School District 15 is up 14 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Sangamon County school district spent $8,068 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,162 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1496 to 1560.

Williamsville's spending in 2016-17 was 29 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
